Anyone used a Jeep GC steering box?

Still around just life continuing to stomp on my man parts.

Anyway, I had intended to go R & P on Woody but, due to legislation in the
U.K. I have decided to stick with a steering box.

Started doing a little research on the Detroit Speed offerings and came across the Jeep GC steering box being used as a bucks down alternative (this was on a pro touring forum) Seems as if the Jeep ratios are around 12-1 ish and give a much improved steering feel and response.

So.... anybody done this swap?

Must admit that price is making me look at this very hard, $200 against an R&P swap of about $1000.... you do the maths....

My steering box is toast so I will have to replace with something.

Worth pointing out that I have front and rear ARB's Doetsch shocks, relocated lower arms blah blah blah....

Comments appreciated.

P.

If it goes wrong, I blame the Internet...
