67 c30
are the frame rails bigger on a 67 c30 than the c10, can you build a c30 with a c10 frame?

The rails are thicker on the C-30 but the mounting dimensions are the same for the components. I am not 100% sure about the rear axle because the C-30's were leaf springs. If you had a C-10 leaf spring frame (most GMC's and some Chevy's were leaf spring) I think it would work. There are different width rear axles so you would have to do some research on that. LockDoc

Re: 67 c30
Much bigger. You could put 30 running gear on it but I wouldn't recommend trying to carry the weight. My 157 dually frame at the back is a completely different shape and configuration from any of my 1/2 ton frames. As frames go I still don't consider the 30 frame to be all that heavy. The later trucks have more robust frames. My 69 dually has pretty wimpy brakes and front suspension. Glorified 3/4 ton stuff. I have a front susp from an 88 dually that I plan to install. It is literally twice the front end the 69 has.
