Blazer buckets into pickup
I've got a couple of sets of blazer low back buckets but cant seem to find any definite answers on how to go about fitting them in a bench seat pickup. My truck is a 76, anyone know of a link or does someone make brackets?

Re: Blazer buckets into pickup
The military M1010 ambulances had factory buckets, might be a good souce for the mounting brackets. http://www.73-87.com/7387garage/inte...ry_buckets.htm

Re: Blazer buckets into pickup
That link mentions suburban brackets are different. Will all suburban brackets work, even the late model ones that look nothing like these seats?

Re: Blazer buckets into pickup
He is suggesting using the weld in inner Suburban brackets to mount them to the floor.

Re: Blazer buckets into pickup
OK, so the blazer seat rails will bolt to the suburban floor brackets welded to a pickup cab?

Re: Blazer buckets into pickup
The only part of the Suburban/Blazer bracket that will work in a reg cab are the front mounts, the floors are different at the rear between the two.
I recently put Porsche buckets in my 77 and ordered seat mounts from WedgeBrackets.com. A bit pricey, but the fit was damn near perfect. The only hole I had to drill was the inner front, the inner rear bolts up to the seat belt mount, outside holes line up with the factory ones. I' sure with some fab work you could mate some sub brackets with some donor pieces from a bench to make it work, if you want to get in to all of that. |

Re: Blazer buckets into pickup
From what I know the Suburban brackets will work. The rear has to be bent to fit, and I believe a couple of holes drilled. Contact Capt Kaos for complete details on how its done.

Re: Blazer buckets into pickup
I put Suburban buckets in my 86, just had to bend the rear ear of the tracks upward to match the floorpan in the pickup, and drill the inner rear hole. Mounted the floor bracket on the inner front and good to go.

Re: Blazer buckets into pickup
You need suburban bucket seat brackets AND the inner front mount from the Suburban floor. None of the Blazer brackets work. Just unbolt them and bolt the Suburban brackets to the seat. The rear seat mounts have to be bent to match the floor angle of the truck.
There are also aftermarket brackets that work too. For more detailed info on bucket seats look here: http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/sm...?topic=28744.0

Re: Blazer buckets into pickup
Found these brackets in a suburban with buckets with armrests today in the junkyard. They look different than all the other brackets I've seen pictures of, can anyone verify that they will work?

Re: Blazer buckets into pickup
Yep, those are what you want. All the suburbans with buckets will have those.
