Hehe. I kinda wish I had your problem. I currently have 5 vehicles to take care of. I need to thin the herd. I'm sure I'll get bored and slow down real soon. I found that my cab had more rust than I wanted to deal with and found a donor cab. I've got to get my truck and the donor stripped down in the next few weeks so that I can test fit them before tackling the frame.
BTW, it was a royal pain to get the bed off by myself.

Unless you have done this before,I hope you bagged your screws and parts up and labeled them,that will help when you go back together with it! Looks good,I know your having FUN!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah. Plenty of ziploc bags and sharpie pens. I also keep my digital camera handy to take pics of how stuff goes together.

You could also use some masking tape to tape each of the wires with a tag saying where it hooks to. So you don't forget later.

I figure that, if I'm going to do this, I only want to do it once. Hence, I'll be buying and installing a new painless wiring harness.

My plans:
Swap cab with a rust free cab I already bought.
Figure up how much it will cost me to fix my original bed
OR
find a better SWB bed
OR
Swap a '94 step bed that I already found
This all depends on the $$ it will take to get mine back in good shape. If I go with the late model bed, the side trim will come off (of course).
A 5/6 or 4/6 drop from ECE with 20" Torq Thrust II's or 18/20 combo.
Hopefully an LS1 for motivation and spray the whole thing with Sunset Orange Metallic.
If I can save my fleet bed (preferrable) it will be painted either silver with white inserts or sunset orange with black inserts.

That's pretty much it. I'm hoping for an 18 month turnaround, but I know how things go. I already have another car to show (my GN) so I'm not in too big a hurry.
