1971 Vortec conversion

I have been disassembling my truck for about 6 months making way for an LQ9-Vortec. I have found my motor yea! It is out of a 2002 Cadillac Escalade/Avalanch. This is an H.O. flat-top, 10-1, floating pins motor. 345 H.P. JustChevytrucks.com hooked me up with this drop out engin assy. and bolted a rebuilt 680e tranny on all for under 5k. Do that with your small block?
I have resited and hung on to the old school small block I know them and understand them, so this new territory.
The research that I have been doing really makes this a no brainer, clean, efficent, realiable, long lasting and fully tuneable, I am in!!
The motor is route to Cali. so I should see it this week
