1970 402 Truck
hey all
ya, so i got the 1970 402/310hp engine in my car. it came from a c10 (?) so i guess you guys would know something about it. it was built in tonawanda and mated with a TH400. the head castings are 3975950. well, i deicded to swap a new cam in it because one of the lobe is flat, any idea on what compression my engine has? also, what cam do you think woudl work well with my heads? thanks alot! alan |

slpin - you have the same cast numbers as I do. My 402/310 is in my 70 GMC Sierra. As far as I have found the heads are oval port / open chamber type 76cc. I'm not sure how good this is though.
breeh - what book do you have for info on the motors? And is it still in print somewhere? Thanks
