Help finding screws for bench seat garnish - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I know this screw is an 8 x 32 just under 1/2" in length. They are the screws used for the hinge garnish on the end of the seat. I have looked a lot of places and I can't seem to locate any anywhere. LMC said they had them, but what I got certainly will not work. I'm hoping someone on the forum can help me locate these screws.

I am restoring some bench seats and I would like to use new screws in the garnishes if possible.

Some time ago I bought this trim screw assortment. Not 100% that it includes the screw you need, but the head looks very similar.

I have a few of those screws. They do look very similar, but if you look close, the threads are little more corse than the one I need. Mine has very fine threads and it's USS ( standard ). I believe the one your showing and the ones I keep finding, that are close, are metric.

A truss head screw will be the closest to that but will not have the secondary groove on the head. HTH Jay

Check at ACE Hardware, the ones here in Phoenix have some of the ones for Chevy's
