Re: Tires, BFG KO or Pro Comp AT Sport
Toyo outperforms in every way in South Texas. Which tire can depend on your location. I'd still tend toward toyo at 2. I've sold all three of those tires professionally for several years now and even though the new procomp at offer a helluva warranty, you'll probably use it. Bfg k02 is an excellent tire but lacks the heavy duty construction that I feel a truck tire needs. Side by side feel the sidewalls and firmness of the two. Toyo has better curb appeal here too.

Key word here is feel. Advertised plies vs actual sidewall rigidity.

Re: Tires, BFG KO or Pro Comp AT Sport
got toyo open country m/t's on one truck and bfg mud t/a's (the original ones) on my other truck either one of them is about all i'll use. did have a set of pro-comp XT's, good traction.....for a VERY short time, they were bald in less than 2 yrs. and their flippin' noisy, noiser than the 38's on my crew.
Bf's i bought in '99, still going strong, never had a flat with them, ever. same with the toyo's, 8 or 9 yrs and in excellent shape, very quiet for a large tire (38x14.50R16) excellent load capacity as well. you cant really go wrong with either one, whatever you personally like & is in your price range.. |

Re: Tires, BFG KO or Pro Comp AT Sport
I wore through a set of ko2 in about 9k miles, that's the second set of bfgarbages I have had, and the last I will ever have. I got cooper's and I will never go back. I'VE heard great reviews on the toyos, and would have gotten them but the cooper's were my warranty replacements and I'm glad they were.

Re: Tires, BFG KO or Pro Comp AT Sport
I have used BFG's and Pro comp all terrains. I liked the pro comps best and got better wear out of them. I am currently using Nitto terra grapplers and have gotten the best wear I have ever gotten on a 4x4.

Re: Tires, BFG KO or Pro Comp AT Sport
I had the old BFG KOs and got 65,000 miles out of them (five tires rotated religiously). I will be looking at a new set of KO2s to complete my build pretty soon. Sub'd.

Re: Tires, BFG KO or Pro Comp AT Sport
I have procomps in the past and had issues with them cracking where the side wall meets the bead as well as several of our customers at the four wheel drive shop would not recommend them at all
