57 gmc front bumper filler?

hey, anybody out there have a pic of the 57 gmc front bumper/front fender components? what holds the bottom of the front fender extensions together from left to right? its been awhile since I took it all apart and there seems to be a part missing. maybe it wasn't there to begin with or maybe I have misplaced it. there is a large "filler" attached to the rear of the front bumper but that doesn't attach to the fenders at all. I have seen some chevy trucks that have a sheet metal part that bolts the two fenders together at the front lower fender extension area. are the gmc's the same then? my rad support looks like the chevy part, if that helps, not a "U" shaped rad support hoop with fender brackets on the sides.
a pic would be great.

Here is a picture of that filler panel. On this picture its just laying on the front frame rails. Its a piece of flat tin that bolts on to the fenders and to the filler panel between the rad support and inner fenders. My truck is a 55 but I think the 57 would be the same. When the front bumper and grill are all assembly you don't see that panel.

You're welcome, has you probably know Canadian build GMC truck aren't quite built the same as the American ones so I think that the filler panel is only on Canadian trucks. You can go thru my truck build there should be more pictures that shows that panel.

Re: 57 gmc front bumper filler?

I believe Jean is right about the Canada v.s. U.S. trucks. My 56 GMC has two small sheet metal pieces (about 7" long or so that bolt between the bottom of the fender and a small brace that comes off of the U-shaped radiator support. Mine doesn't really work that way anymore because of the sub-frame that I used so I don't have any good pictures to share.

My 57 has a rad support that looks like a chevy truck rad support. I have seen pics of the U shaped rad supports. I will definately check out the build thread. Thanks fellas.
