69-72 rear suspension
I'm currently looking to buy a 69-72 Chevy and I have came across both leaf spring and trailing arm with coil spring suspensions is there a advantage to either one -- Thanks

Re: 69-72 rear suspension
Coil spring rides better. There are HD versions of the coils, and there is an optional overload leaf for that suspension. It may be better for putting power to the road, as it can help to eliminate axle windup.
The leaf springs ride harsher, but many prefer them as they feel that they can carry a greater load, and do a better job of locating the axle laterally. So, it comes down to what's important to you, ride, or load carrying. But that may be all academic, because when you are out looking for a 45 plus year old truck, you sometimes have to take what you can get.
