Removing in-cab fuel tank...

... does this automatically allow the seat to slide further back or is there something that has to be done to the mounts or the seat to gain that extra room?

Thanks,
Scott

Re: Removing in-cab fuel tank...

You don't really gain any room for the seat by taking the tank out. The top of the seat already touches the cab wall with the seat all the way back. I asked the same question when I first joined here. I'm 6'7"... I manage ok with a stock steering wheel, and three on the tree.

Thanks for the response jayoldschool. I'm 6'3" and also have a 3 on the tree....I find it a little tight but doable. I was just looking to see if I could gain a bit more space. Oh well. Good to know that moving the fuel tank won't buy me much or anything at all.

there is a post somewhere above in the how to's or something that recommends raising the seat with a spacer. this will give you more legroom.
