Hello Gang I was a member long ago when I had my 69 GMC now I have a 63 . I just picked it up this week and she is going to get a updated suspension up grade. I hear I can put a 73-87 front clip in these trucks ??

Re: Live from B.C Canada
Nice truck there, I'm in Kelowna bc. Yes you can put a 73-87 crossmember in to get disk brakes, but there is no need to swap the entire crossmember. You could use the control arms and spindles from the 73+ on your truck, or if you wanted you could change out the balljoints and use just the 73+ spindles. Head over to the 60-66 area of the forum for more info

Re: Live from B.C Canada
thanks for the info the 63 is all 3/4 ton and I want to swap it all to 1/2 ton . I hope to be able to use the rear truck arms and just put my own perches on the 1/2 rear axle. I bought a 76 chevy 1/2 for the swap
