Texas 76 Scottsdale

Hey from North Texas,

Just picked up a 1976 Chevy Scottsdale. Apparently it has been sitting around for some time in a garage as is – 1 owner.

Wife is disabled, working from home and caring for her will make the time I get in short spurts here and there. But that’s what I like. Plans are to take it very slow redo much of the interior. Seats appear newly done. Paint looks great although old. Best for me on my first project. Too nice of paint and I would be afraid to do anything to it.

I’m a newb, haven’t done anything like this for 24 year, then it was my first car then was a 76’ Camaro. So I have a ton to learn and hope to not be a nuisance. May even take it into a local shop here for a tune up, check out the 4 wheel drive and so on first. Or since I will not be driving it really for some time may just tackle it myself.

I like the farm truck look so will keep the rims and such as is. It needs new tires, these look new but are super old and splitting.

Look forward to learning from the older posts here. Been looking through a ton of them online while the truck was being delivered.

Will post project pics as I do things. Nice to be here!
Thanks…
Few pics added…
