Another welcome from soggy western Washington. Frame cut down is an ambitious first project. Use the thread search, this has been discussed before.

good luck, scott

May those who love us, love us, any of those who do not love us, may God turn their hearts.
And if God is unable to turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we may know them by their limping.

A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist.

Welcome from sunny central Ohio.
One question though, with the nice rustfree truck selection you have there in California, why bother with the hassle (and possable dangers) of chopping your frame? I would think about ditching that one and getting a shortie to start with. It'll be cheaper and worth more in the long run.
