todays the day

jon will be over around 10 or so this morning. then we will start upbolting all the stuff, then my friend with the cherry picker will come over around 1ish to help up pull the thing.

Good luck on pulling that motor Just remember to put a jack under the tranny to support it. (Or maybe a block of wood will do because your tranny is so low.) It took me and my friend (two guys who'd NEVER pulled a motor before) all of like 6 hours to pull out my old motor and put in my new motor...the hardest part, was getting the damn motor to sit in the bay properly, so we could get the motor mount bolts in.

im getting ready to pull the motor out of my 86 today too. im just gonna regasket it, attach a new trans, and put it back in though. good luck!

mine is out, and disassembled to a shortblock. all 8 cylinders, pistons and combustion chambers look good. however, it looks like the cam and lifters and timing chain are shot.
