step side bed
I have a 1969 step side C10 with a 1973 step side bed will the 1969 step side fenders and step fit a 1973 step side bed to me the step look smaller on the 1973. the 1969 step look to be bigger can someone help me with this issue I just purchase this truck and want to make it all original I thought I could just change the fenders and be OK.

The fenders will go on if you redrill the holes, but when you try to bolt the 67-72 steps on a 73-87 bed side there will be a 4" gap. The side is very similar except that the 67-72 is deeper with longer stake pockets.

Thanks I just notice it from a bed I saw online I wanted to change the fenders but if I change fenders I will need to change the step as well maybe I will just leave the 73 bed on unless I can fine a swap thanks good information and a money saver as well

If your bed is decent you could get pretty good money from someone with a '73-87. Yoou can find these Stepsides a little easier or buy the whole thing new. Not cheap, but all new truck from cab-back.

The 73 bed is in pretty good shape no perfect but 90% good I would like to keep the truck original but it looks as if it is going to costly to make a change over the 73 bed don't look bad on the 1969 but it's not original with the body lines
