Suspension help

I have a 1966 C-10, the rear is lowered with a C-notch from PBfab and air bags, the remaining rear suspension components are stock. I also have the front lowered with air bags, 2 1/2" dropped spindles and stock A arms. The remaining front is riding on stock components. Bottom line is that after lowering my truck it rides like a log wagon. Can I please get some input on those running either of PBfabs stage 1 or 2 and the quality in regards to ride. I will also be buying the shocks to go with the set up from PBfab.

Too much air? The KYB shocks Porterbuilt recommend are available at local Auto zone. Unless you got some long shocks bottoming out, or too stiff you should have decent ride. What bags and psi? The Firestone are stiffer than Slam.

LVPhotos I am not sure of the brand air bags, all work was done at a shop. Air pressure is set to 70psi in rear and 25psi for front for driving. It looks like there are Monroe stock shocks at all four corners. The shocks are in the stock location in the rear so it appears they are at an elongated position. Do you have another suggestion on brand of shocks?

Air in back should be less, me 40. Front more, me 80-90 just to clear fenders. My bags are Firestone 2500 rear and 2600 front. Play with pressure but you are not running enough in front and too much rear. But it's more of hieght vs pressure. The rear has to be stiff with that much air. I run 70psi in my helpers on my 1 Ton with 5th wheel hooked up.

My rear bags, 2500, run at 45 in regular driving.

No shock re-locators. Stock positioning. I will play with the air pressure.

Anyone with suggestions of another suspension set-up or manufacturer that they're satisfied with please chime in.

Your pressures seem like they are flipped. You need to take a look at your shocks and see how much travel you have left front and rear. Also if you can post some pictures of your setup so we can see what you have. On the shocks measure them at ride height and then you can look up the part number an see what the compressed length is. That will tell you the amount of travel you have left. Were the bump stops removed from the front? Also what tires are you running? Tires can make a huge change in the ride.

PGsigns, the front stops have been removed from the front. I am running 255/45/18 in the rear with 235/45/18 up front.

The rear shocks in that stock brackets setup lays them too flat to actually work.
Add some rear shock relocators or even better the Porterbuilt rear shock bars and shocks.

Todd ,I have my '62 shock mounts which would flip location of the lower shocks to front. If interested pm me.

Are these pictures at ride height or fully aired out? if they are at rude height its easy to see why it rides bad.

The bags look almost compressed fully at ride height. It looks like it has very little travel before they are on the internal bump stops. I think a set of cupped a arms and getting rid of the spacer on the top of the rear bag will improve the ride issue.
