Arm Rest Door Panel Space

Looking at the interior door panel, once you attach it to the inner door there are two cage nuts that you screw the arm rest to. Is there supposed to be a spacer in there between the door and the inner door panel?

the only spacer/eschution i know of is between the inner panel and the window crank and inside door latch. there is also the gasket that goes between the inner panel and door, i guess it can act as a spacer.

That's not going to flex?
Having built my truck from a "box-o-parts" I'm not sure.

Re: Arm Rest Door Panel Space

Just put armrests on my '66. No spacers, just screws directly into cage nuts. I wondered the same thing at first, but it seems to fit just fine.

X 3.

I used a pattern found here somewhere but found them off a bit. Next time to get the holes spot on I would draw my own lines with panel off and on.

A welcome addition to the truck.
