Hello from SoCal

Hi, I'm from San Diego area. Soon to be moving to Riverside County. I think I joined this site a couple years ago, but this is my first post. I grew up around classic cars, my dad had a few 57 Bel Airs, so I have always been a Chevy guy. My favorite car has always been the 68-72 Nova. I bought my first car, a 70 Nova, when I was 18. I used it as my daily driver for years while slowly restoring it. I'm 30 now. A couple years ago I decided that I needed a truck for projects around the house. I really liked the look of the 67-68 C10s, so I picked up a 67 project truck on Craigslist (second photo). I had a lot of plans for it, but a lot things that happened in my personal life changed that. I don't have the time anymore for another big project, so I'm actually trying to sell that truck now (I'll probably post it on this site later). I recently bought another 67 C10 a couple weeks ago that needs less work (first photo). It has a 350 with a 4 speed T10 transmission. The tranny is actually out right now getting rebuilt. Other that that, it's seems to be in pretty good condition. Good running engine with straight body and no rust. I plan on fixing up the interior a little, getting some new wheels and tires, maybe paint at some point, and installing a posi and some gears better for highway use. It looks like there is a lot of experience on this site, so I plan to use it pretty often. I already have a few questions, Looking forward to talking with some new people and taking advantage of this great resource for GM trucks!

Awesome, I'll be moving in the area in about 3 months. Actually right on the border of San Bernardino and Riverside. Little town called Calimesa next to Yucaipa.

Re: Hello from SoCal

Lots of classic cars and trucks in that area. Past pleasures is the name of a car club in Yucaipa and they put on a show about once a month.
