Engine+Tranny Install

I pulled my tranny and engine outta my 72 gmc the other day. Will i be able to put the tranny/engine back into te truck together without pulling the whole front clip/grill? if not, whats involved in taking the grill out? btw, its a 72 gmc with a 350/350 combo
thanx

LOL! I have those issues also when it gets real bad , its like this You can install the eng/ trans together, but a tilt/leveler is a good investment. the parts need to go a long way up to get over the rad support. If you opt to remove nose pcs, I would pull the complete front clip. Good luck, crazyL

If your hoist will handle 1000 lbs with the boom all the way out, you will be fine.....you will be a tad under that(about 550 on the eng, & 200-250 on the trans & converter.

Open the doors, & unbolt the cowl panel, should be 4 -5/16 bolts, ,a hand full of screws & the wipers. I am guessing you already have the hood off. The fenders have 2 bolts ea side hidden under the cowl, 1 ea side on the bottom, 1 ea side where the inner fenders bolt the the cab, the rad support mounts, & the wiring harness......I think that covers it. if you arent dealing with rusty fasteners, its not too bad a job.......crazyL
