Raised wheel tubs

Hey guys I'm new to the forum, thanks for the add. I was wondering if anyone had any links or info on raising the stock wheel tubs in the rear. I'm building an 87 short bed, bagged with extensive rear set up, ridetech up front and a 5.3 setup. Thanks

No I'm not raising the bed floor, just trying to reuse the factory tubs.

How tall of a tire are you running? If your not raising the floor and your not cutting your bed, the pumpkin will hit before you need taller tubs.
Regardless, unless you have the ability to weld a sectioned tub your best bet is look at Slosh Tubz

He doesn't make a taller tub for the rear, does he? I only see wider tub for the 60-66 model.

Re: Raised wheel tubs

Even so. I agree with Ken. If he's not raising the floor what is he gonna gain from it? I'm not being a smart ass. I'm sure I'm missing something.

Re: Raised wheel tubs

Will the tire hit the top of the rear tubs when you're aired out?

Re: Raised wheel tubs

Yes, I'll try and get a pic uploaded. I'm going to try and just add 4 inches to the factory tubs to make them taller.

Raise the attachment points of the tubs on the inner bedside however much higher you need. Drill new holes & use nutserts/rivetnuts to get it done. Bolt the tubs in. Then make filler pieces to fill the gap between the vertical portion of the tub flange @ the new higher location to the original floor.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
