How does a 65 GMC make it to Bavaria? American soldier left behind?

Welcome

Nice looking truck, looks like Air Force.

You are right, parts are not easy to find.

And they are not cheap once to add tax and transport.

But it is still worth doing.

Re: My New Projekt 1965 gmc

I am sorry to hear that the truck you received is not what you thought you had bought.

There aren't many of these old trucks that are rust free, unless they have been repaired already. And sadly many online sellers are not honest about what they are selling.

Re: My New Projekt 1965 gmc

How bad is the rust on the cab? Just do a little at a time and you will eventually get there. I know it has to be right to pass the TUV. Where exactly are you located? I have a friend that has a small shop in Labber if your close to that location. I spent two tours there in Hohenfels. Between Regensberg and Nuremberg. My wife is from Nuremberg and I really miss being there. Good luck on the build and let me know if you need something.
