a few months later - pics of my new seats!

Here's the Dodge seats I bought new at the Dallas swap meet this summer. I reused the Jeep Cherokee brackets that were already bolted in and used 1/4 aluminum plate to make adapters to mate the seats to them. They sit a little higher than I would have liked, but now that I'm used to them I like the extra leg room. Very, very comfortable too!

One more shot. I plan on making a console following Mike's plans sometime soon.

I've had it for about 4 months, no tickets and only ran out of gas once.

heh, that's a real race truck right there. i've got the same dash in my 82 right now. i was on a kick for saving weight, so i removed all of the sheetmetal, the windshield, the box, the frame and all of the suspension, as well as the engine and trans. my truck weighs about 400# now, i havent made it to the track yet so i dunno how fast it is yet.

BTW, i like the seats.

Gotta love those cheap seats for sure. Can't believe the deal you got on them. Wish he had them in tan

Looks pretty nice but does the tilt wheel even get used now? Looks like it would get kinda tight if you went down more than one notch lol

By the way I have the mid optioned dash in my Jimmy right now. I still have gauges but dash pad and bezel are removed.

I usually have the tilt most of the way up anyways, but you're right. Now it's all the way up or no circulation in my legs!
