Dash light sockets
Looking for a little help. I thought I read that a PC194 or PC168 socket/bulb assembly would work in the dash on a 72. I bought them from a few different sources (NAPA and Amazon) and both times the socket itself is just not quite big enough in diameter to securely hold in the dash.
Is this something anyone else has experienced? Do I have the wrong part number, or maybe there are some other versions of a PC194 that will work for our old trucks? I might try the local Motion Auto, they seem to have better quality stuff than the NAPA these days. |

Re: Dash light sockets
PC194 and PC168 is wrong, yes the Bulb 168 and 194 is correct but the socket is too small, I am still looking for the correct socket.

Re: Dash light sockets
Found the right socket at Napa part # LS6501.
I don't have a pic of the wrong one as I returned it. They look identical the wrong one was just a little smaller diameter.
