305 info needed

I pulled a 305 from a 1960 3500 truck pretty much just because it had 48,000 miles. There's a guy here in my town with a 66 305 V6 that is blown and he was asking about my early 305. If he were to pull his motor out and bolt the brackets and everything else from his into mine, it should fit right into the sm420 tranny and set right onto the mounts correct? I'm sure I'm overthinking it but I'd like to get my information straight before I sell him a motor that won't work in there

I'm pretty certain he's good to go on that exchange. It should all bolt up.

Any 305 or 351 from any year will interchange with any year.
