NM 71 Rochester Quadrajet - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Newly rebuilt Rochester Quadrajet. It came off my 72 K20. Unfortunately, someone scratched off the codes but near as I can tell after some exhaustive research, it appears to be a 70412?? with a divorced choke. The build date code is 0711 (71st day of 1971). It comes with base mounting gaskets as well. $125 shipped.

Whats the difference for 71 car to 72 carb? Is this for small block or big block?

This is for a small block engine. There are really no differences between the basic quadrajet from 71 to 72. The differences would depend on the specific application. Car, truck, buick, pontiac, chevrolet...etc

No. It has not been run. I rebuilt it last week and it was working when I pulled it off my truck.

Looking for a direct replacement. Mine has been giving me some problems. We rebuilt it several years ago.....but its just slowly been on the downhill slide.

My offer is $75......if so i will paypal you today. If not, no problems, and i will just rebuild my again.
