Rarest 70-72 Accessory?

I Posted these hand rails in the for sale section,
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=727142

I have been searching for pictures of them installed on a truck and have came up empty.

Has anyone seen these rails installed on a truck or have a picture?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Rarest 70-72 Accessory?

That's a lot of drilling on the bed to do to mount those rails. Probably scared a lot of people away with that. I've seen another set made by GM that has rails with a rectangular cross section with the ends turned down and flush with the bed rail, and woodgrain inserts, that required far less bed modification. I think those were more popular.

Had some of those already fitted on mine when I got it. Great for strapping my motorbikes down too!

I saw an NOS set of those on eBay for "a whole lot of money" and I was tempted because they were mint - but they weren't long enough for a Longhorn.

Re: Rarest 70-72 Accessory?

I've seen lots of these on trucks, but it has been a zillion years. I had a set like Cleskie described. They were later (square body). I bought them N.O.S. at a Chevy Dealer in Myrtle Beach, SC. I put them on the ;'72 Cheyenne Super Custom Camper K/20 I had for a while, but decided I wanted a cleaner look. I sold them year later ('07) to a guy with a Longhorn. I tld him they'd be short and he didn't care. He said it's only 3" up front and 3" out back. I had a set of those, also, on the wrecker I had

Re: Rarest 70-72 Accessory?

That is a rare option but I would not drill holes in my bedside to mount them ...

They are cool though ...
