Re: chevelle headers?

Yes they will fit and allow you to tuck the exhaust between the frame rails. Search BossHogg69 he runs them and has pics in a thread on here.

Re: chevelle headers?

Here are some poor photos of the headers in my Burban. The PO installed them and said they came out of his Chevelle. (71/72). The frame has been torched away for clearance. Hope these help. I have no idea who made these headers. If no one else responds I can get some better photos next week.

Re: chevelle headers?

I have hedman chevelle longtubes currently on mine, but its a big block. Everything is above the frame rails. I had to run a street rod style shift linkage because the collector is right where the frame linkage part was, and tubular crossmember because they exit right in line with the stock one. I used to have a 69 truck that had I'm pretty sure had flowtech chevelle longtubes. It was floor shift so didn't have to worry about linkage. I have another set of the flowtech sb headers Im fixing to try on an 83 so may have a better idea of fit.

Re: chevelle headers?

I know the o/p is running a small block..
but when I bought my chevelle headers for my 70 chevelle with bbc and raised port heads, Hooker rep gave me the part # for 2nd gen f body bbc headers as the fit better with raised ports..in the a body.. might be a help for those with raised port heads..
I have both, a set of truck headers and the f body.. so I can't say one way or the other until I get that far.. what is better.. just throwing it out there.

Re: chevelle headers?

I'm also looking for long tubes that will tuck up in the frame. Let us know what you end up with and how it worked out. Good luck.

Re: chevelle headers?

I'm curious as to why you are looking at buying Chevelle headers instead of buying ones for a C10?

c10 long tubes hang down below the frame and will drag if you are lowered
