Re: aftermarket doors

I used a ton of aftermarket panels when I redid my truck. The aftermarket doors were absolutely the best fitting parts I purchased. There was only one thing I had to fix, the seam was a little loose along the back edge of the drivers side so I put some panel adhesive in it and pushed it back together.

Re: aftermarket doors

I bought two recently from LMC, but haven't tried them yet. I plan to hang them in the next few weeks, so I will try to update this thread after doing so. Fingers crossed.

Re: aftermarket doors

I gave one to a buddy , because I couldn't get the body lines correct. I ended up buying and old door and filling the mirror holes with welds and mounting it up. Old doors better in my opinion. Good luck if it works out post a pic and who knows maybe quality control got better, since I bought mine

Re: aftermarket doors

Pimpston,

Mjminino bought some for his 66' and he swears they fit perfect. He has a video of them closing on the truck on one of the facebook 60-66 pages.

Where did you get yours from? I would imagine that it will depend on the cab as to the fit. The fit of these old trucks wasn't that great when they were new.

I got these thru a friends shop. I don't even remember the brand with certainty, Although I would believe they are all the same manufacturer. These may have been tri-plus I don't know, a lot of parts I used were from there.

My dad and I have been lookin for a pair of mint original 64-66 doors for a long time now. I might have to buy new doors.
