Porterbuilt sway bar end link lengths????
I purchased a Porterbuilt sway bar (made by Addco) from a vendor a while ago. It was supposed to be set up for use with the Porterbuilt lower control arms with bags which I have. Apparently the end links are shorter for use with their control arms versus factory.
I have had it sitting in the parts pile for a while and after just being able to get all my suspension in and motor in and troubleshooting complete, I went to install the sway bar and realize the end links put the sway bar all up into the tie rod ends. I found a thread where another member got the same thing and was told his kit was most likely for a coil over setup and he was sent the correct end links by Porterbuilt which were much shorter. I have called 3 times and emailed once and didn't hear back from Porterbuilt. Maybe they are at a show or something. So I wanted to see if anyone out there has this sway bar for their control arms and bags and if so, could you give me any measurements on the end link lengths???? The setup I have now puts the attachment points at approx. 7.5 inches apart. I bet I can find something local to go ahead and get this installed if I don't hear from Porterbuilt in the meantime.

Can you just cut the bolt and spacer tube down? I've had to do that on other bars that I have installed.

I had the same problem, PB would never call back and their email respones were slow and never gave me an answer. So I just cut the spacers and used shorter bolts.

If you replace the bolts, make sure you use a grade 8 bolt. As you can probably guess, there is a lot of stress in that area.

Cut the spacer tube down and use a shorter bolt,... like others have said.
I like to keep the ends of the sway bar parallel to the ground if possible. You didn't say if you have bags with a stock crossmember or with a Dropmember. This picture is from a Google search,...

Sorry for no responses guys. I swear I put a subscription on this but I guess I didn't.
I was going to cut them down but was hoping to get general measurements to know where to start. I can probably mock it up and come close on the length. It is bags with stock crossmember.

Re: Porterbuilt sway bar end link lengths????
Did you ever get the sway bar from porterbuilt to work? I just installed lower tubular control arms from them and just e-mailed them today asking if they had a sway bar kit to fit my application. I am using 2 inch drop springs and a 2 inch dropped spindle instead of air bags.
