1972 GMC 1500 Frame Part Out
I have a 1972 GMC leaf spring 1/2 ton frame that I need to send to the scrap yard. The frame is bent in the front section but there are a few pieces available that may be of use to someone.
Let me know what you might want before I cut it up and haul it off. $25 per individual part, $40 for cross members (since there are more rivets to cut off!) plus shipping.

Re: 1972 GMC 1500 Frame Part Out
Im not going to say ill take the cuts yet, but check a shipping quote for me on the 2 cab mount sections to 65807. I need them to weld together a cab stand.

Are you looking for frame cuts from the front cab mount to the back can mount on each side, or just the individual mounts that are riveted to the frame? Let me know which two mounts you need. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 1972 GMC 1500 Frame Part Out
Front mount to back mounts, probably with some extra length. Basically enough length to make a cab stand and mount the cab to stand.
Shipping is probably going to be double what the sale price would be though

Re: 1972 GMC 1500 Frame Part Out
Tommy,
I calculate that the parts sections would be 52" long. I was just going to use a cutoff wheel to cut them off around 2" past each mount. I would sell them for $75 total and the shipping would be $60 via UPS ground. Also, look at the first picture and notice that the one frame rail is tweaked on the top of the front passenger side. Not sure if this will have any impact on your project. Let me know if you still want them.

Re: 1972 GMC 1500 Frame Part Out
I know shipping would be rough. I can get a whole frame about 2 hours away for 75, so I guess ill have to pass on the cuts. Thank you for getting a quote though.

Re: 1972 GMC 1500 Frame Part Out
Guys, the frame is long gone. Sent it to the scrap yard.
I still have the front cross member (without steering components) and the transmission cross member. Also have the 12 bolt 5 lug rear end. Posted via Mobile Device |
