rear brake hose routing

I hate it when I forget to take pictures. I am replacing rear brake components and forgot to take a picture of the rear brake hose. I think it goes between the spring and shock, but wanted to make sure. Can someone sent me a pic of the proper way to mount it? Thanks!

Re: rear brake hose routing

Do you mean brake line, as in the hard tubing that is bent and routed through your frame? Or, did you mean hose? There is just a single hose that drops down from the brake line up in the frame. It drops down to the differential where it meets a t-block where the right and left axle brake lines attach and run to your backing plates where the wheel cylinders are mounted.

Do you mean brake cable, as in the emergency brake? Do you have leaf springs? On my 4wd these cables run under the leaf spring to the backing plate from the frame near the front spring mount.

Re: rear brake hose routing

I am talking about the rubber flexible hose that goes from the hard line on theframe to the t-block. It looks like it would get caugh the if I route it any way but between the rear coil springs and shock. Just want to confirm before I connect it and bleed everything. Thanks.

Re: rear brake hose routing

Assume it goes like this. Sorry the picture is sideways. It's not attached and you may notice a hard line is missing. I will get that installed tonight after the kids are in bed.

Re: rear brake hose routing

I'll go out and look at my chassis now.

Ok, the line runs from up front on the passenger side to the center of the crossmember behind the axle. The one the panhard bar is mounted to. This is where the hose connects, then runs down to t-block
