Went better than I thought, takes patience to fit the panel, tomorrow grind welds and a little bondo. I blocked off the Throttle cable hole because I won't use it.

Isn't it great that someone makes repair panels for places such as this. Good job! More progress pics.

Yes it makes things much easier. Eh, I have a long ways to go, sanding, sanding and sanding.

Looks good, That is one of the biggest pains for truck guys, hacked dashes. Those 70's and 80's lets just cut a hole there and stick the stereo in and put a big face plate around it are biting us now.

i've hacked many a dash myself
but if you weren't going stock (hand throttle delete) i would have gone with a single din mount
no one makes a good radio for that hole and single din will be around for a few years more

Looks like good work, BUT the asymetrical remaining holes are bouncing off my OCD very hard! Why not delete the other one?

I'm going to use the rest of the holes, by the time I get all the dash goodies in I don't think it will be that noticeable. Why leave a dummy hole to plug with something I won't use?

Obviously - your truck, your choice. But I'm with Dan, that would bug me every time I got in the truck. Think I would have just put a dummy knob on to match the others to keep the balance. Besides, never know when a "Zoomie" actuator might be desired!

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
