1978 GMC C20 Camper Special (Factory Tach)
Found this old gem locally. Contacted the owner who told me he was going to donate it to charity. I asked him if I could buy it instead and he agreed.
She has a 350 with a 4 barrel and a Turbo 400 trans. It is the High Sierra model and pretty well optioned including cruise control and factory tachometer. It looked awful when I picked it up but cleaned up very nice. Needs new tires, valve cover gaskets, and some new fuel lines where the gas tank switching unit sits under the truck. Has a little bit of rust on driver's door rocker panel, front of the hood and surface rust on the top of the cab. And the best part is I paid under $500 for it!! |

Does the VIN match what is on the SPID sticker? Wondering why it says Silverado trim unless the glovebox has been changed.

Quick update on the 78 Camper Special. Freshly powdercoated a set of 16 inch stock wheels. New all terrain tires, plugs, wires, alternator, windshield wipers, and fresh fuel lines to the fuel tank switcher underneath the truck. Had to drop one of the fuel tanks to get to one of the lines. Truck is running great. Still need to fix dash lights, and window crank on the driver's door. Window won't roll up and down.
