Re: 70 K10 headers

If I remember correctly, the issue is clearance around the clutch linkage with headers. Someone here with more experience will be able to give you a more definative answer.

Re: 70 K10 headers

Just get the Heddman full length headers for a 71 K10. They do not drop below the frame (2x4 trucks are the ones that have great header issues) and they clear the factory clutch linkage.

Or even better if you don't want full lengths is run the 2 1/2" Corvette manifolds. I swapped my Heddmans for the 'vette manifolds and the ol' "Butt-ometer" didn't notice any loss of power. But zero gasket issues in the 18 years they have been on the truck. The Heddmans were on for 10 years and the collector flanges were to the point gaskets didn't seal well.

Re: 70 K10 headers

Yeah thanks, dont want full length, but vette manifolds sound like a great idea, what range of years will work?
