Ignition Switch Dash Nut

Hey all,

I got a replacement ignition switch from NAPA since my 62 did not have the original one in the dash. The replacement has the copper attachment for the light, a really thin washer-looking item that pushes on almost like a push nut and then a somewhat thin nut that threads on. No real directions are included to tell you what order they go on, but the nut that does thread on has too many sharp and squared edges to fit on the front side of the dash (it would scrape all the paint trying to tighten it). The really thin push nut looking washer does not grip well enough to secure the switch from being pushed out of the dash when you put the key in. Does anyone know if there was a larger, more finished looking bezel that went on the outside? I know my old Ford had a nut that sandwiched between the back of the dash and a bezel on the front side to keep it secured.

Thanks

Randy

Yikes!! $43 and counting and then shipping on top of that for a used one. I paid $17 I think for a new switch and cylinder with keys. I will hit the yards this weekend and see what I can scare up. But thanks for looking just the same.

I think these bezels look cool--plus have the proper labels--on our old trucks. But, $$$ again.
