Stock stick bellhousing and trans. behind an LS, Anyone??

Have a 3-speed on the column with factory overdrive that I wish to keep. Anyone ever deal with the stock mechanical clutch linkage to make this swap? Mods to the setup?

Thanks,

There are some variables so I think your best bet would be to type "3 speed manual behind LS" into the Google search box at the top of the page, click on the circle in front of "67-72chevytrucks.com" and click on the Google button. You should be able to find any information you need.

I'm using mechanical linkage with my ls and tremec tko. I know that's not your setup but you can harvest your ball end and build a bracket on the ls similar to the one they used on the small blocks. Mine was a 292 6 cylinder and I had to narrow the z bar and do a little work to the bottom side to clear the hooker cast manifolds. Hopefully this helps a little bit, that will be a cool setup I like those three speed overdrive transmissions.

The exhaust was my biggest concern. Wasn't sure if there was room around it for the Z bar or a place to bolt on a fabbed mount for ball stud bracket.
