'62 chevy c10 HELP!(front end drop)
i just got a 62, 3 on the tree, a few weeks ago, turns on and runs great and in great condition.
i dont know much about mechanic work, i was told it has a torsion front suspension and its a pain in the rear to slam it. I've been researching and from what i found out was to just adjust the torsion bar so it can drop .. but the bolts my hit the ground and such option 2: is to run it on spindles but then the alignment might be affected?? can anyone help me, is there another way out of this?? any kits around?? |

Re: '62 chevy c10 HELP!(front end drop)
It all depends on how low you want to go. No matter how you lower it your alignment will be affected. I would lower it using drop spindles and loosening the torsion bars. There are kits out there for the drop spindles. You will have to go with disk brakes if you get drop spindles. Try doing an advanced search for torsion bars or drop spindles under the search menu in the menu bar. It is right under the google search window when you are logged in. There are so many threads on this that you should be able to find what you are looking for. In the future you will be better off asking your questions here http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/forumdisplay.php?f=6
