Service manual suggestions

I am starting my 1st build. What is a good manual for working on our trucks? I have a 68 c20 lwb. Going to convert to swb. Drop f 2.5" r 4" with spindles frobt and springs in back. Disk brake conversion front. Just want something that has some breakdown diagrams of parts. I got bed apart so far and am starting on front end this weekend. Then cab comes off.
Thanks
Richard

Re: Service manual suggestions

Then number the pages and get the Assembly Manual Index from this board.

Also you'll need the factory service manual for torque values and some assembly steps. Between the two that's all I used (plus this board, of course!).

Re: Service manual suggestions

The Assembly Manual is useful - but I'd submit that the very first one you need is the "Chassis Service Manual" available in the link to Hatzie's pdf's in dfwright's link above. But get the Assembly Manual too... And then I'd get the Overhaul Manual. Then you can get to work!
