Ground Straps
Hello, first post in this forum. I'm restoring a 71K1500 and I need a little help. When I disassembled the truck to begin resto I failed to take notes or get a picture of where the ground straps attach. I'm sure the engine grounds to the frame and the cab, and the cab grounds to the frame. I have a new ground strap kit has 4 straps in it (2long,2short), but I can't remember where they attach.

Welcome to the forum, lots of great people here.
Can't help you much, this is what I got: pic 1 - forward passenger frame rail to inner fender (fender removed) pic 2 - under cab at front mount, passenger side there's on on the bed also, don't have a pic that's all I know 70 K20 |

Re: Ground Straps
Unless you're doing a perfect resto, what I did was to buy two kits and add extras. Ground problems are hard to track and since I was powdercoating everything I was extra-worried.
Unfortunately the kits you buy now aren't copper (maybe the Eckler's Corvette ones are, for example, but not LMC), they're stainless.
