Coil Recommendation for a 4/6 drop

I'm looking to get a 4/6 drop with my 1984 C10 and have seen many recommend the McGaughys kit but have seen bad reviews on their coil springs.

So I'm looking for a good coil spring for a 2" drop, any advice?

I've heard great things about the RideTech HQ Shocks and will probably place those on all four corners.

This will be a DD truck. Thanks in advance!

Bbbc10, wow, that's says a lot. My thinking was just like Bobby points. I gotta rethink this one. I love the ridetech HQ's. I had a set on all 4 corners of my 1971 air ride c10.

As i n posted above belltech an western chassis have very nice parts also pick up some shock extenders for the rear also drop shocks on all 4 corners

Looks like a complete 4/6 drop kit from Belltech is going to be the solution, including the front and rear sway bars. Then add the Ridetech shocks on the corners. Thanks for all the replies and advice!

I'll have to use both as no one makes a drop spring that low. Plus the drop spindles maintains proper suspension geometry. Thanks!

We installed belltech in my brothers 87 and they seem to be very good. Also installed belltech shocks as well and a rear axle flip. Rides better then stock.

Belltech is the only one I know of that makes a drop spring thats not way too soft. I still prefer cutting a stock C10 coil. I have herad even better results come from using a stock C20 coil and cutting it.

x4 you can get Moog springs 850-1500 lb range or so- you choose- then cut to desired ride height absolutely nothing wrong with trimming front springs
go on rock auto , look up c10,c20,c30 front springs- motor-home etc... it'll show rate

We have a spring that equates out to about a 2in drop that we provide in our StreetGrip kits. They are made out of a premium, cold wound steel here in Indiana and provide a nice combination of ride quality and handling. I recently drove our 72 C10 with the StreetGrip kit on it to Dallas TX and back and the ride quality was better than that of my 2015 Camry (I know, I know..but I have an hour commute back and forth to work every day) I copied a link below for you to check out. All of the components in the kit can be purchased separately. Look over the pieces and give me some feedback if you guys don't mind.

Thanks for replying John! So if I get this correct, the 2.5" drop spindle and Street Grip Spring at 2" of drop will provide an overall 4.5" drop up front?

I also see that there are two choices in shocks for the front, the HQ and the Street Grip. Which would you recommend for a daily driver?

What shock would you recommend for a 6" rear drop with a C-Notch?

Just checked the website and it's nice to see RideTech also is now doing the front steering components, I'm going to get a set.

Rob,
You are correct. It equates to about a 4.5in drop in the front.
The HQ single adjustable, smooth body shock comes in the StreetGrip kit. The shock in this kit was spec'd out for the mounting height this kit provides. We do have multiple stroke lengths available in the HQ line up.
If you can get me a measurement from the center of your top mount to the center of your bottom mount, I can figure out exactly what shock length you need.
Give me a shout whenever you get some measurements and we can get you squared away.
