TH350 Transmission Lockout

Need help regarding my 350 trans. What does "lockup" means?
Do I need some wiring to the gas pedal?
What's the difference without? More gas?

Have no idea what you are talking about, unless you have a later model with the lock up torque convertor. All of the early T350 just had a kick down cable.

The THM 350 doesn't have a lockup torque convertor, so you have no worries.

On a transmission with a locking torque convertor, the torque convertor locks at higher speeds (usually abover 40 MPH) to save fuel.

Yes that's right. It's a lockout torque converter.

I bought it from a guy here in Sweden. He said it's a TH350 Chevy lockout with short ostrich, standard Turbin.

Luv those terms!!
Short tail and standard convertor I think.
Turbo 350c was available in later trucks. THey had a switch on the tranny just behind of the shifter shaft. THey were controlled by an electric switch that was tied in with the vacuum from the motor. THe lock up was for better mileage and longer tranny life.

If you do have that "C" version and plan to run it (or for that matter run any TH350) - I would recommend this e-Book - you can download it to Google books (or Kindle with Amazon) and have it in seconds.

(But it did take me a few days to read and understand).

You can also find a lot of information just on the wiki page about your transmission.
