Starter

I have switch from manuel transmission to automatic on my 67 truck.
The engine is a 305 smallblock and the transmission 350.
Need some advice on which starter I need?

If you starter is fine I think all you need to do is get a different nose cone for the starter you have or go to parts store and tell them you need a starter for a small block Chevy with an automatic transmission.

you will need the one that bolts to your engine, not the bell housing, you will need the two starter bolts also, they are knurled bolts especially for starters, the auto parts store will have them, and you may have to shim your starter...the starter should come with instructions....

I have been searching all over the internet stores, and it's getting me more and more confusing.
I don't know what year my engine is (probably late 70)
My old starter has 3 bolt holes and it's a Delco Remy 1107497, and when I thought I have spotted the right starter (new manufacturing starte) it's not referring to this number.
I have send a message to Delco Remy, but they don't answer me.
Here in Sweden the auto shop seller said I need the
Chevy 305 350 454 Mini Racing PMGR Starter High Torque 6449 by URQS.
Do you agree?

you cannot use your old 3 bolt starter with an automatic, you will have to get a 2 bolt starter that bolts to your engine...and you dont need the high torque mini starter, any starter from 73-mid eighties will work....for small or big block and like i said before, you will need the knurled starter bolts,you can get the starter and bolts thru Summit racing
