Best Option
Since moving to the PNW snow seems to be becoming a bigger issue than in years past and I plan to build a truck. The front and rear of my frame will get step notched to increase wheel travel...I am not raising a truck but slightly lowering it while still maintaining wheel travel Its going to be a fleetside 60-66 GMC and I will be going with King shocks all around with a three link in the rear but would a four link be best up front?
I'm not going off road nor plowing my driveway but its not going to be a beater either. Without giving things away it might go to SEMA when its done in a few years once my other truck is done.

Re: Best Option
Notching the frame is kinda pointless and in the front the axle will hit the oil pan/engine cross member before the frame. The front i would 3 or 4 link like http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/Fro...Conversion.htm the rear a triangulated 4 link would be easier since you don't need a locator aka panhard bar.
