Getting a Burb

Been wanting one for a while and worked something out with Billy (66 Burban) to get one from his collection. Got the brown one from this thread. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=720876 Its made it way from Arizona to North Carolina and it will be home in Virginia on Saturday. Looking forward to getting started on it.

Re: Getting a Burb

Lower it, 5.3 LS with a 4l60E, front disc, 2 3/4 rear shoe setup, new power brakes, new power steering, short bed fleet side deluxe trim, Smoothie wheels and a AAW harness is what I have so far.

Re: Getting a Burb

Nope just one burb. I added it to my signature when we worked out the deal. My wife says I have enough stuff. Got to ad the toy hauler, the car trailer, the 1966 Ford tractor and couple of Cub Cadets.

Made the trip today to get the new girl home. Now safe and sound in Virginia. 640 miles round trip and a great day for a ride.

Re: Getting a Burb

Got her off the trailer this morning and gave it good looking over. Time to start working on the plan and gathering up some more parts. So many ideas to sort through.

Re: Getting a Burb

Oh I see....Didn't realize you updated sig. so fast.

Good Luck with the burb. They really get the looks on the road. Most people have never seen one and you can tell by the look on their faces! Ha!

Thanks,
-Chad

Re: Getting a Burb

I have not seen one on the road in my area in about 10 years. There was a pretty rotted one sitting at a local shop forever. Don't know what happened to that one. Going to update my signature again. Sold the 65 yesterday.

Re: Getting a Burb

So what are the plans for this???
Does it have a 292 i6?
I would build a 292!!!
Mine has a whopping 230ci, and I wish it was the 292...I've tossed around the BBlock, SBlock, LS Swap, blah blah, and I keep going back to the Inline6. I may just build my 230, and put in a S-10 T5, or something, and call it good. You don't see too many HotRod I6 engines anymore...
