Redo Brake lines in a 1972 Chevy Pickup

I am tearing my 1972 Chevy Pickup k10 down to the frame. I have heard it's a good idea to change the brake lines out while I'm down at the frame. I have seen some expensive options out there, but I'm on a budget. I want to use the truck as a daily driver, take it up to the mountains every now and again.

I have disc brakes in the front, drum brakes in the back.

Any suggestions on what path to take?
Where should I get it?

Id absolutely replace the brake lines..don't skimp..obviously from a safety standpoint..any good parts store can supply you with all the lines you need..btw ..you want to post this in the 67-72 section..

You can buy brake line by the roll in 25' lenths . Get a flare tool and some flare nuts and make your own. Even the old style hand flaring tools do a good job. Plenty of instructional help on you tube. I switched to the copper nichol tubing it bends much easier and doesn't rust.

you have to get a flaring tool that will do double flares!!!! brake lines have to be double flared...

Buy it from a US vendor that has free shipping and good feedback.

The smaller stuff you can bend by hand and you can flare it holding the flaring tool in your hands. If you make a mistake you just straighten it back out and start over... And like Cape Codder said, it doesn't rust.

i've had several sets of flare tools and if your going to be doing a lot of flares invest in a good flare tool. after trying just about everything out there i do 90% of my flares with the eastwood professional tool http://www.eastwood.com/professional...ring-tool.html i also have a set of 37° dies for it that i mostly use on stainless line. its not cheap but so far i've got a perfect flare every time. for on the car flares i prefer the inline flare tools like http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-on-...16-tubing.html . i also have several imperial and rigid flare tools that i picked up cheap on ebay that i use for loaners

I just bought a complete set of brake lines for a 1972 GMC 3/4 with front disc brakes from In-Line Tube for a $155 plus $18 in shipping. I got original non stainless.
