292 to 327 swap

I am pulling the 292 out of my 66 and want to install a 327, with a Saginaw automotive 4 speed. What do I need for motor mounts, can I move one side of my mounts? Will the clutch setup work OK? Thanks, taclem

Your passenger side motor mount will need to be changed, the drivers side should work fine as well as your Bellhousing, but I'm not 100% sure on the clutch

Everything for the clutch should still work, I just swapped a 230 for a 327.

Re: 292 to 327 swap

you will need the passenger side frame perch from a 230, 250 i6 or a 283 63-66. for the clutch linkage you will need the threaded ball stud engine side for a sbc. yje i6 uses a pressed in ball stud on a bracket/ you cannot use that one
