Floor/pedal question

I am working on a 68 and I believe that the drivers floor panel has been replaced before. I do not see a place for the nubs to screw into anyplace for the gas pedal to rest on. I have both the 68 pedal and the 66 pedal. 68 rests on the nubs, 66 screws into the floor. What would you guys do without the use of a welder? Drill holes then nut/bolt/loctite w/ the 66 pedal? Don't really have the funds to install later model pedal and already bought this stuff.

just to throw out another idea, i just bought the Lokar pedal kit for our trucks. it uses the three screws that hold the swivel bracket for the stock throttle assembly.

I did the lokar swap too, but pricey about $150.00. Just do what the others have said. I believe that you can buy new studs.

If you look under the truck where the studs should be there should be a little block about 1/2in by 3in that the studs actually screw into. It the block is still their then you just have to get the old rusted or broken studs out. They are threaded and can be a challenge to get them out.

Drill died on me but I wire wheel'd both edges of that hump and I don't see any holes. Not a whole lot of room for me to crawl under the truck and look at the moment. Looks like I may be better off going the cable route? What do you guys think?

I think I am just going to use my 66 pedal and some large sheet metal screws.

Yeah I have the studs already, but this is just easier. I don't mind that my truck will have a 66 pedal in it.
