Question Blazer abs system.

I'm a newbie so please cut me some slack. New to customization but a good fabricator and builder. Just started a s10 4x4 under 58 Apache 5.7 TBI engine. My question is about the brakes. I'm thinking about using the blazer master and booster without the abs. Any thoughts on the pressure and balance front to rear.

Re: Blazer abs system.

OK thanks didn't think about that, when I stripped the blazer I saw the big abs control and trashed it will the blazer have a proportioning valve as well or do I need to check other s10s for one. Thanks again.

Re: Blazer abs system.

Thank you I'll do that. Don't suppose you know a source for a bypass fuel pressure regulator to drop the blazer pump from 65 down to 13 for the TBI 350. Thanks in advance

Re: Blazer abs system.

You'd probably be better off removing the blazer pump from your system and go with a pump for a tbi..even better post this pump question in the engine drivetrain section for a better answer

Re: Blazer abs system.

Thanks again. Will look into just changing the pump probably close to save price as a good regulator.

Re: Blazer abs system.

is there a special reason you don't want to keep the ABS system working? I would have loved to keep the ABS system working when I did my conversion, but the ABS system in the 4x4 96 blazer that I used was as large as a battery and did not fit in the new build. I removed it and just replumbed the brake lines and everything worked just fine.

Re: Blazer abs system.

Same deal the abs is huge and I am not crazy about the look. I'll try just doing what you did.
