Interested also. Can always get NOS, but there's an argument to be made new rubber is better.

Re: best place to buy window channels?
I bought a kit from brothers. Installed a year ago, 1,500 miles and I was never happy with them. The felts were kinda wavy, didn't seat right from the start. The insert for the vertical channel had a cheesy chrome strip that had little chance of staying on, and it did not.

Re: best place to buy window channels?
I've been eyeing the kit from gmc paul, but I haven't dropped the cash for it yet. I've heard similar stories as above about the window parts. I've wondered if this is one those all the distributors sell the same identical part situations, or if there is better/worse quality stuff out there.

Gmcpaul or Wes at classicheartbeat. They sell precision and re-pop brands which work great

Re: best place to buy window channels?
I purchased my replacement door parts from Wes at ClassicHeartBeat.
He has personally dealt with Precision to design and produce quality rubber restoration parts for our trucks. Wes carries the best and doesn't sell problematic parts. |

Re: best place to buy window channels?
Be sure to double check what you are actually buying. I bought all new window rubbers (from one of the vendors) and ended up with what you can see in the first photo. Yup, they are brand new (what they call) glass runs. Smooth as a babies bum. Second photo is of the Precision brand ones. No comparison obviously. Haven't got them fitted yet, but I'm expecting to go from lots of wind noise, to greatly reduced road noise! I was beginning to wonder what I'd done wrong until I started talking directly to Precision.

Re: best place to buy window channels?
I can tell you his push-on door seals are top quality, as well as the door bumpers so I am sure the rest of his products are top quality as well.
